I think this is funny. Would a comic think this is funny?“You come by here saying you arrested my son for murder and then you ask about my parking tickets? You must be out of your mind!”
“Well I just figured, since I was here you know…”
I could see that this woman had been through enough for one day and so I backed away, feeling stupid for even mentioning the damn parking tickets.
And it wasn’t until I was back in the police car that I realized I had meant to tell the woman that her son hadn’t been arrested for murder, he had been the victim of murder.
“Maybe I’ll just leave a note,” I thought.
